Components to Start Shooting
There are three main components needed to start shooting: the pistol itself, CO2 cartridges, and ammunition in the form of marble-like balls. The pistol is powered by 8g CO2/1.3 g N2 cartridges, and I was supplied with a box of ten, along with a tube of five “live” red-colored ammo balls. My TRP came with one magazine in the pistol and a second magazine included in the box. Full instructions accompanied the assembly, offering simple-to-follow information on setup, use, and safety precautions for the TRP.
Take the Time to Learn about the TRP
My recommendation would be to definitely resist the urge to carelessly assemble the weapon and start shooting without using the manual. This weapon can save your life, but only if it’s functioning properly. You need to treat it like a real firearm. The manual illustrated all the parts of the weapon, how to load it, how to install cartridges, and how to set the desired velocity of the projectiles. Cleaning, maintenance, and safety precautions were also included. Take the time to dig deep into the information. Overall, I took about 30 minutes to read through all the topics, and I was confident afterwards that I knew all the ins and outs of the weapon.

Effectiveness in Action
Now came the fun part, shooting the TRP. Once the magazine was inserted and the cartridge punctured, I was ready to go. My target was about fifty feet away, as I was unsure of this weapon’s distance capability and its velocity. My first shot struck the target in the blink of an eye. It was fast, accurate, and delivered zero recoil. Naturally, I initially braced for some kick, but it had none. I stepped back another 30 feet, and the TRP lost none of its accuracy or speed. Its semi-automatic feature enabled rapid shooting, with a red cloud of “smoke” produced upon the projectile’s impact. The cloud was thick and about six feet in diameter. This showed that you could very well miss your target yet still incapacitate them with its large dispersion area.
