Making its presence felt at the heart of World War II, the Fairbairn-Sykes Dagger has established itself as one of the war’s most iconic weapons. With a history of working with legendary designer William W. Harsey Jr., Spartan Blades is no stranger to the Fairbairn-Sykes pattern. Now, the company turns to another of their Green Beret alumnus, Tu Lam, of Rōnin Tactics, on the Spartan-Ronin F/S Dagger. It’s as solid as it looks.
The Spartan-Ronin F/S Dagger
At its overall length of 11.875 inches, the Spartan-Ronin F/S Dagger poses the familiar menacing profile of its namesake. The 7-inch blade is constructed of the new hotness: double deep, cryogenically treated CPM Magnacut. As a result, the blade offers a balance of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. It is more than a showcase-worthy piece. It is a tough, real-world tool, like the Green Berets who designed it.
Running the length of the spine is an elegant fuller that adds some serious style to the dagger’s overall presentation. While it may not do a lot to lighten the blade (but some), it sure is sexy. In addition, the blade’s slender profile, along with its hollow-ground geometry, delivers exceptional penetration qualities.

The hidden tang is encased in a 303 stainless steel handle that exemplifies the Fairbairn-Sykes pattern beautifully. Running the length of the handle’s palm swell are the familiar ribs, intended to help with retention. But they also add to the overall style. Likewise, the swell at the pommel also ensures a secure purchase during the chaos of combat.
Sitting between the handle and the ricasso is an oval cross-guard to prevent the hand from riding up onto the blade. On the underside of the cross-guard are the Rōnin Tactics and Spartan Blades logos, sitting opposite each other. A subtle, but nice touch.
The Spartan-Ronin F/S Dagger will be available in your choice of black PVD or satin bead-blasted finishes. Likewise, sheath options will be available in black Kydex, FDE Kydex, or leather.
