Look who’s turning 250! As America celebrates this historic milestone, Emerson Knives pays tribute with its limited-edition Liberty and Freedom Collection. The collection comprises a strictly limited run of 50 pieces per model, featuring iconic American hardwood handle scales. You will want to get in on this fast. But if you miss out, don’t fret, there will be a production run of 100 featuring G10 scales with an American flag engraving.
The Emerson Knives Liberty and Freedom Collection
The second knife in the series, following the All American, the Liberty Knife is available in a run of 50. However, the first ten are custom-made by Ernest Emerson himself, called Super Customs. While they represent the highest level of craftsmanship, they fetch a hefty price.
The Liberty stretches out to a full 9.2 inches when open, providing ample grip and full functionality. Sandwiching the liners are handle scales constructed of chestnut, harvested from reclaimed lumber of early pioneer barns and houses. Known for its durability and rich character, the wood speaks to the strength and resilience of the American people.

However, if you miss out on the chestnut model, you will still be able to purchase a production model with G10 scales. Keeping with the theme, the G10 scales have the American flag beautifully engraved in the scale flats. Although these will be more affordable than the chestnut model, don’t wait too long, because there will only be 100 of these.

Opened via a thumb disk or the recognizable Emerson Wave, the 3.9-inch blade is held firmly in lockup by a liner lock. Constructed of 154CM, the Liberty features a deep-bellied, drop-point blade with a saber grind. Correspondingly, the stonewash finish adds to the overall traditional aesthetic.
The presentation side of the blade features a silhouette of the United States emblazoned with the American flag. “Emerson Knives” sits above the icon, while a scroll with “Liberty & Freedom” flies below. Under the banner are the dates “1776 – 2026.” The obverse side showcases the Emerson Knives production logo.
However, the ten Super Customs feature an American flag on the presentation side and Ernest Emerson’s handmade custom logo on the obverse.

An Ongoing Collection
As I mentioned, the Liberty is knife #2 in the Liberty and Freedom Collection. The collection started with the All American, which became available on May 13th. Following the Liberty is the 1776, which will be available in July 2026.
Although they do not have release dates yet, the collection will be concluded with the Patriot and the Lexington. Keep your eyes peeled, because each model in the collection will go fast.
