An American icon, Buck Knives is celebrating 250 years of our nation’s independence with two limited-edition models. The two models are as iconic as the brand itself, consisting of the 110 Folding Hunter and the 119 Special. But, you may want to get yours fast, because there will only be 3,000 of the 110 and 1,000 of the 119. Fortunately, the MSRP for each is very reasonable, so you won’t break the bank.
Buck Knives America 250 Editions
A knife that has filled pockets since the mid 60s, it is no surprise that Buck Knives selected the 110 Folding Hunter to celebrate America’s 250. It is so recognizable that many non-knife people refer to all folders as “Buck” knives.

Like the production 110, the America 250 model features a 3.75-inch clip-point blade constructed of 420HC. However, the blade features a special marking at the ricasso, with the Buck anvil icon and “USA 250 Years” below. Finally, the handle, constructed of brass and African Ebony, showcases a ’76 medallion encircled in stars. The 110 includes a brown leather sheath.
The second knife is equally as iconic to hunters, having been on belts and in hunting camps since the early 40s—the 119 Special. This classic pattern has been the center of special editions for various occasions over the years. However, there is something very fitting about this model commemorating America’s independence.

Like the original, the 119 Special 250 features a 5.875-inch clip-point blade constructed of 420HC. However, the blade departs from the original with the removal of the deep fuller on the blade flats. Also, like the 110 Hunter, the Buck anvil and “USA 250 Years” adorn the ricasso on the left side.
Paying homage to our nation’s 250th is the polished red, white, and blue acrylic handle, framed by the brass butt and guard. Representing the American flag, the handle includes the 13 red and white stripes leading to the blue union. Within the union is the ’76 medallion mirroring the original Betsy Ross flag with thirteen stars encircling “76.”
The 119 Special comes with a unique black buffalo leather sheath.
