Known for sleek, clean designs at a budget-friendly price, CIVIVI is launching its new Elite Series starting with the Brova. Although the term “elite” typically conjures visions of high-priced cutlery, that is not the case with this line. As with all its products, the WE Knife subsidiary keeps the Brova affordable while using high-grade materials, like S35VN steel.
The CIVIVI Elite Brova
Bridging the gap between typical CIVIVI value and the premium materials of WE Knife is the impetus of the new Elite line. If the Brova is any indication of what we can expect, the company is off to a great start.
Starting with an aluminum handle, the Brova is available in your choice of gray, dark brown, or forest green. With a closed length of 4.67 inches, the knife stretches out to an overall length of 8.08 inches open. Adding style to comfort, the handle is chamfered around its extremity, with deep bevels for the fingers. Likewise, blue anodized hardware (on the gray model) completes the high-end aesthetic.

The business end comes in the form of a 3.41-inch clip point blade. Constructed of premium CPM S35VN steel, the blade offers excellent edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. Featuring a hollow ground, 0.13-inch-thick blade, the Brova is ideal for slicing chores around camp or the home.
Riding on a caged ceramic ball bearing pivot, the Brova’s blade glides smoothly into lockup via the thumb stud opener. The blade is held in lockup via a top liner lock with a button release. As a result, it is not only ambidextrous but also allows you to keep your fingers out of the way when closing.

The Brova carries deep in the pocket via a stainless steel reversible pocket clip. However, the clip is set up for tip-up carry only. In addition, the butt has an elongated lanyard hole for attaching a lanyard for style points or easy retrieval.
If you like high-end knives but don’t have a high-end budget, the CIVIVI Elite Line is worth watching. And a great place to start is at the beginning, with the Brova.
